(OTASP) Over The Air Service Provisioning

Over The Air Service Provisioning (OTASP) is a process used in the wireless telecommunications industry to remotely provision or activate a mobile device over the air. This is done through the use of an Over The Air (OTA) interface, which allows a wireless carrier to send configuration settings and software updates to a mobile device without requiring the user to connect the device to a computer or bring it into a retail store. OTASP can be used to activate new devices, update existing devices with new firmware or software versions, or configure devices with network settings and other parameters required for proper operation. This process can save time and improve the customer experience, as it eliminates the need for the customer to travel to a retail location or spend time connecting the device to a computer.
