(DJ) Disc jockey

A disc jockey, or DJ, is a person who selects and plays recorded music for an audience. DJs typically perform at events such as parties, clubs, and concerts, and they use specialized equipment such as turntables, DJ mixers, and DJ software to create seamless transitions between songs and to add effects and other elements to their performances. DJs may also be responsible for setting the mood and creating an atmosphere by choosing the appropriate music for a particular event or venue. Some DJs specialize in playing specific genres of music, such as electronic dance music, hip-hop, or rock, while others take a more eclectic approach and play a wide variety of music styles.
